Opening Hours & Sessions
At Big Time we have a unique approach to our opening hours and sessions as we understand not one size fits all. Some people require childcare all year round whilst others, perhaps with older siblings on holiday from school, only require term time. Here at Big Time Pre-Prep our sessions are term time only however optional holiday camps are provided for ages 3 and above, so that we can offer wrap around care all year round for those who need it.
The nursery is open for 39 weeks of the year from 8:30am-3:30pm. Full day sessions, including lunch, are available or children can join us for morning/afternoon sessions.
Why we have a minimum 4 session policy?
Ensuring your child attends a minimum of four sessions a week in early childhood education programs is crucial for their holistic development. Regular attendance establishes a consistent routine, fostering a sense of security and predictability. It plays a vital role in social and emotional development, allowing children to interact with peers, build relationships, and develop essential skills. Moreover, consistent exposure to age-appropriate activities enhances cognitive development, laying a strong foundation for academic success. This routine prepares children for school readiness and facilitates effective communication between teachers and parents. In essence, regular attendance is the key to optimising your child’s early years learning experience.
