It is extremely rare for a casting company to let us know if your child has been unsuccessful. They usually only make contact if they would like to offer your child the job or another audition.

Casting directors often see hundreds, sometimes thousands, of performers for each role, and unfortunately, they don’t have the time to provide individual feedback. In the rare instance that we do receive feedback, we will, of course, share it with you as soon as possible. 

If your child is offered a job the first thing we have to do is notify the council. It is against the law for your child to take a job without being licensed by the council first. The majority of the time there is a short time limit so it is important that you confirm and send us all the neccessary documents as soon as possible!

For an audition it is unusual that a child is required to miss school, as they are usually scheduled at weekends or after school hours.

If your child is successful and receives a job that requires them to miss a lot of school, they will be provided with a tutor whilst on set and will still be required to study.

A letter will also need to be provided from your child’s school agreeing to this arrangement.

Yes! Unless your child’s agent thinks the experience of a job alone would be beneficial, we will only put your child forward for PAID work.

Currently there is no national minimum wage for children under the age of 16, however most casting companies will work with the Equity minimum wage. Although the Equity minimum wage is still quite low, it prevents your child from being exploited.

Spotlight is the UK’s leading casting platform, used by casting directors to find professional actors. Having a Spotlight profile significantly increases your child’s chances of being noticed for auditions and roles.

Yes, we highly recommend it. Whilst some casting opportunities may come up that allow submissions via email, most will require a Spotlight profile for submissions. We’ll guide you through the registration process if your child is selected for representation.

A Spotlight CV is your child’s professional profile on Spotlight, used by casting directors to assess their suitability for roles. It includes essential details about their skills, experience, and appearance.

  • Personal Details: Name, date of birth, height, eye colour, and hair colour.
  • Contact Information: Our agency’s details (not personal contact details).
  • Experience: A list of previous acting roles, including the production name, role type, and production company.
  • Skills: Any special abilities like singing, dancing, sports, or languages.
  • Training: Classes, workshops, or schools attended.
  • Headshots: High-quality professional photos.

Update it whenever there’s a change in your child’s appearance, skills, or acting experience. Keeping it current is crucial for casting directors.

Yes! Hobbies like horse riding, playing chess, or baking can show personality and versatility. Keep them relevant and concise.

That’s okay! Focus on skills, training, and a strong headshot. Casting directors often look for fresh faces, so a lack of experience isn’t a disadvantage.

A clear, professional headshot is mandatory. Additional photos showcasing different looks, age ranges and personalities can also be helpful.

Tagmin is our management software. It allows us to communicate with you about auditions, contracts, and schedules. You’ll receive updates and notifications through this platform.

Once your child is represented, you will be sent a link to download an app. You will then be provided login details and a tutorial for navigating the system. It’s simple and user-friendly!

Yes, we work with trusted photographers who specialise in headshots for young performers. We’ll provide a list upon representation for you to choose from. 

We do not charge registration fees. However, you may need to cover the cost of Spotlight membership, headshots, and other optional expenses.

No, all costs, such as headshots and Spotlight membership, will be discussed upfront. There are no unexpected charges.

We take a small commission (ranging from 10-15% depending on the nature of the job) from your child’s earnings on booked jobs. This ensures our interests are aligned with your child’s success.

Encourage them to enjoy the experience, stay positive after auditions, and maintain a healthy balance between acting and other activities.

A typical day on set involves rehearsals, filming, and breaks. Meals are provided, and licensed chaperones ensure your child is safe and comfortable.

For younger children, a parent may need to be present. For older children, production companies often provide licensed chaperones.

A showreel is a short video showcasing your child’s acting abilities. It’s not compulsory, however is likely to improve your child's chances of getting called in for an audition.
